In my hometown, which is a small town, I did not had the opportunity to taste or make Chinese food, since in my childhood and adolescence there were no Chinese restaurants and not so many supermarket were you could find the necessary ingredients.
Things changed when I left for college: big city, lots of new things to do, places to go, new and interesting opportunities. One of the new things I discovered was the Chinese cuisine and I fell in love with it. I started by eating at restaurants or Chinese fast food but nothing compares with homemade food, even Chinese one.
So I started to try different recipe, classic ones like Kung Pao Chicken, spring rolls, Chinese noodles or noodles soup, sweet and sour pork, and so on.
By far one of my favorite is Sichuan Orange Beef: the wonderful combination of citrus fruits (oranges) with beef flavor, ginger, soy sauce (and much more fabulous ingredients) really makes me think of China.
Because I loved it so much and actually made it a few time, I wanted to share it with all of you how are interested. So visit the link below for the complete recipe and instructions.
