Hummus Recipe


I am a BIG hummus fan! I tried several times to buy it from different stores and always I was very disappointed of the taste. The best hummus I eat in other place that in my house was at a Lebanese restaurant…it was exactly how hummus should taste.
I usually like to do my hummus from scratch: boil myself the chickpeas and then mixing them with garlic,olive oil, tahini, lemon juice and salt.
I like eating hummus either for breakfast or as a quick and healthy snack.
But what are the benefits of eating this Middle Eastern dish, you may ask. Well here are a few of them: chickpeas do not contain any cholesterol or saturated fats, tahini has a high level of proteins, the olive oil is a healthy fat, juice lemon and garlic are full of antioxidants, and some more others.

So if you did not try making hummus I strongly recommend you do, and forget about the ones bought in the stores.
