This summer I spend 5 wonderful days in Greece, on Zakynthos island.
It was the perfect holiday: relaxing, did not care what time is or what day of the week, excellent food, and heavenly landscapes.
Of course we have tried all the traditional Greek dishes starting with seafood and fish dishes, continuing with moussaka, the refreshing Greek salad and of course the well known souvlaki and gyros. All of them were absolutely delicious and even though I do not usually eat pork I do not regret making an exception for the pork souvlaki (this is what the vacation are made for :D).
I found the below grilled pork souvlaki and reminded me of fabulous Greece.
I think I am going to try make them this weekend, with the delicious Tzatziki sauce, maybe it will help me believe I am back to Greece at least just for a little bit :)
